Dental veneers
How long do porcelain veneers last?
With good hygiene and regular check-ups, porcelain and lithium disilicate (e.max) veneers typically last 10–15 years, and often longer. Composite veneers usually need refreshing after 4–6 years.
How many days in Tirana do veneers take?
A typical veneer case is completed in one visit of 5–7 days: examination and digital smile design on day one, preparation and temporaries mid-week, then the try-in and final bonding at the end of the week.
Do veneers damage my natural teeth?
Modern veneers are minimally invasive. We remove only a thin layer of enamel, and in suitable cases none at all with no-prep designs, always after a wax-up and mock-up so you approve the shape before anything is prepared.
Will the veneers look natural?
Yes. Shade, translucency and tooth proportions are chosen with you at the design stage, and you see a mock-up in your own mouth before the final ceramics are made.
Am I a suitable candidate for veneers?
Veneers suit discoloured, chipped, worn, slightly crooked or gappy front teeth once gums are healthy and any decay is treated. Heavy grinding or severe crowding may need a night guard, orthodontics or crowns instead, we confirm this at your examination.
How much do veneers cost at your clinic?
Albanian dental guidelines do not allow clinics to publish prices online. Send photos on WhatsApp or request an examination and we send a personal costed plan privately, confirmed after your in-clinic assessment.
Are clip-on veneers any good?
Clip-on veneers are a removable shell worn over your own teeth. They can work for a photo or an event, but they are bulky, can affect speech, cannot be eaten with comfortably and do nothing for the underlying teeth. If you like the look they give, that is usually a sign that bonding, whitening or minimal-prep veneers would give you the same result permanently.
Are composite veneers worth it compared with porcelain?
Composite veneers are shaped directly onto the tooth in a single visit and can usually be repaired or removed, which makes them a good first step for younger patients or small corrections. They stain and lose gloss within three to five years, whereas porcelain typically lasts ten or more. The right choice depends on how much correction you need and how long you want it to hold.
How do veneers in Turkey compare with Albania?
The clinical materials are often identical; the difference is usually the treatment plan. High-volume packages tend towards full crowns on eight to twenty teeth because it is fast and predictable to produce, while a conservative plan treats only the teeth that show and keeps enamel where it can. Ask any clinic, here or in Turkey, whether they propose veneers or crowns and why.
What are E-max veneers and how are they different?
E-max is a lithium disilicate ceramic pressed into very thin shells, typically 0.3 to 0.5 mm, so less enamel is removed than with a crown. It handles light like natural enamel, which is why it looks less flat than older feldspathic or bulky zirconia work. It suits front teeth; heavy grinders or teeth needing full coverage are usually better served by zirconia.
