Guide for patients travelling from Canada

Dental tourism in Albania for Canadian patients

Tirana is one connection from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, and our clinic is 25 minutes from the airport. This guide covers how Europe compares with Mexico, how many trips each treatment takes, what documentation your insurer is likely to ask for and who looks after you once you are home.

How the trip works

1. Remote assessment

Send photos or a recent x-ray and receive a written plan with visits, trips and materials.

2. First trip

3D CBCT scan on site, the plan confirmed in person, then treatment over the following days.

3. Healing at home

For implants, three to six months in Canada with remote reviews over WhatsApp.

4. Second trip and warranty

Final teeth fitted, itemised records issued and the written warranty handed over.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose Europe over Mexico for dental work?

Mexico is closer, but the decision should rest on how the case is planned rather than flight time. In Tirana every case starts with a 3D CBCT scan and a written plan that names the implant system and the ceramic, treatment is carried out by the same clinician throughout, and you leave with material certificates and a written warranty. Many Canadians combine treatment with a European trip they were already considering.

How many trips do I need from Canada?

Veneers, crowns and hygiene are finished in one trip of five to seven days. Implants need two trips: three to five days for placement, then a second visit after three to six months of healing. All-on-4 and All-on-6 patients leave the first trip with a fixed temporary bridge, so you never fly home without teeth.

Will my Canadian dental insurance help?

Some plans reimburse treatment received abroad against itemised documentation. We issue an itemised treatment record with tooth numbers, procedure descriptions and the materials used, which is what most insurers ask for. Check the wording of your plan before you travel, as coverage varies by province and provider.

Who follows me up in Canada?

You receive written aftercare, the certificates of the materials placed and a direct WhatsApp contact with the clinic. Reviews are done remotely with photos, and a dentist in Canada can act correctly at any time because every component is documented.

Why are no prices shown on the website?

Albanian healthcare advertising guidelines do not allow published treatment prices. Once we have seen photos or an x-ray we send a detailed written estimate privately by email or WhatsApp.
