Going home
Flying after treatment and what to expect in the first weeks.
Can I fly straight after implant surgery?
We ask you to stay at least 48 hours after surgery so we can check healing before you leave. Cabin pressure does not harm implants, but swelling peaks on days two and three, which is more comfortable to pass through on the ground than in the air.
What happens if something goes wrong when I get home?
Message us on WhatsApp with photos and we respond the same day. Most issues, such as a loose temporary or a rough edge, can be handled by any local dentist with our notes. If remedial work at the clinic is needed under guarantee, we do not charge for it.
Will my UK dentist look after work done abroad?
Most will, especially when you bring full records. We send you the treatment report, radiographs and implant passport so your GDC-registered dentist can carry out check-ups and hygiene visits without guessing what was used.
